Ok. Just this week my dad and I drove up to LA to see our friend -and the guy who breeds all of our pit bulls- Joe Chan. Well anyway he was going out of town for the week so my dad and I were gonna take his dog Cypress (also a pit bull he bred) and watch him at our house for the week. Btw Cypress is my dog Gracie's boyfriend. We tried breeding them about 2 weeks ago. But anyway that was a week ago and today my dad and I drove back up to LA and dropped Cyrpess off. And while we were there my dad (age 53) and Joe (age 71) were both talking about the past and all they'd done with his dogs and their breeding and how beautiful they were and while I was watching them I saw that Joe who has been very ill had forgotten most of the things that he and my father had done about 20 years ago. Well I started thinking about how pure his dogs were and how beautiful they were, and I came to a realisation that very soon this amazing bloodline could be gone forever. Cypress is Joe's last male dog and if he doesn't breed with gracie it could all be over. But anyway to sum it all up I feel I've found my calling. I want to breed these wonderful, misunderstood creatures and bring them back into the world of dogs and dog shows. The real dog shows not just the cover they use for dog fights. I want to breed pit bulls for their beauty not for their aggression. For their expressive eyes and overwhelming devotion to not just their masters but all humans! And it's true. Pit bulls make the absolute WORST guard dogs EVER!They are absolutely not aggressive to humans unless they are rabid/injured/or scared. It is not in this breeds nature to harm humans. Animals yes. Pit bulls are known to attack animals. But what I've noticed with the majority is how much their actions are influenced by YOUR (the humans) feelings and thoughts. How if you think that a pit bull is going to be a pain in the ass and attack everything that moves it will pick up on that and in a way to try and please it's master behave in that way. But if you think they're going to be kind and somewhat easy to be around then most likely they will be. They will sense your calm and happiness and try to keep you happy. Sorry about the extremely long rant but I had to say this. P.S. My mom and I saw New Moon the day it came out and my god was it awesome! In the first fifteen minutes it had the book beat!
